REMINDER: Deadline for nomination of athlete as BackSoftball Ambassador - October 24, 2008
If you want to nominate an athlete to help promote our sport’s return to the Olympics, the BackSoftball Ambassador team deadline is October 24. The following is an extract from President Don Porter’s recent newsletter:
"ATHLETE AMBASSADOR PROGRAM
The ISF Athlete Ambassador program has been receiving a number of athlete nominations from member Federations which will close on October 24th. Following the deadline athlete nominees selected for international events/activities will be convened at an orientation forum at ISF Headquarters either in late November or early December.
ISF Director of Competitions Laurie Gouthro, will be coordinating details on the orientation forum program along with other program planning."
Please let us ensure that Europe is well represented on this team.
Also, President Porter has asked for updates on all recent contacts between Federations and their IOC / NOC members. It is important that we all keep the BackSoftball team aware of such contacts, and up-to-date with any significant discussions you have had with your Olympic decision-makers. Please ensure these reports are made to the ISF as requested, and copied to Chiqui Vazquez, ESF VP on the BackSoftball team.
