New Executive Council elected at Congress
Last February 7th elections to the Executive Council of the ESF took place at the XXXIV Congress in Lausanne. A new President, André van Overbeek (NED) and a new first Vice President, Giovanni Sanna (ITA) were elected.
Even though there were three nominations for President a vote was not needed since Jacques Reinenbergh (BEL) and Mike Jennings (GBR) withdrew their candidatures. Delegates and guests present at the Congress said goodbye to Former President Mr. Jennings who received a fully-deserved ovation.
The six seats for Vice Presidents did not need a vote either when candidates Gibert Tobback (BEL), Robert Milosavljevic (CRO) and Mike Jennings (GBR) withdrew.
