Highlights of meeting discussions
In the first session of this meeting, the Vice President of the ISF and co-chair of the Backsoftball campaign, Mr. Dale McMann joined the EC to discuss and give input to the Development Plan for Europe and the contribution of the ESF to the Backsoftball campaign in Europe.
As part of the development plan for Europe 5 regional commissioners were appointed, a European commissioner for coed slow-pitch and soon another European commissioner for fast-pitch men will be appointed. These commissioners will work together with the member federations to set-up the individual development plans.
A Coaching task force and a Scorekeepers and Athletes committee will be installed to cover all the aspects of our sport.
Alcmaria Victrix at Alkmaar (NED) was appointed as the new organizer for the EChCG after the withdrawal of San Sebastian two weeks ago.
As promised at congress, a new structure for competitions was introduced which will be published in a few weeks.
Minimum requirements for venues are being set for organizers of European competitions and a new voting system will be introduced for the bids to host them.
