The ESF umpires virtually met for two webinars
For the first time, the European Softball Federation organized a virtual training meeting for all the ESF umpires.
Thanks to the work of Carolien Stadhouders, Raoul Machalet, Gian Paolo Pelosi, and Chris Moon, on May 5th and May 7th, the umpires met online for two webinars, one for fastpitch and one for slowpitch. The webinars had the final goal to discuss and examine in-depth technical topics correlated to the game.
"The initiative was a success! It was good to virtually see everybody" comments Carolien, Director of Umpires for the ESF "we plan to keep working on the web in the future"
This unique situation in history without games, allowed the ESF umpires to start a project of virtual training. These meetings are a useful way for the umpires to keep the knowledge updated and get better. In addition, they are a good way to keep in touch with each others and with the great game of softball.
More such webinars will be organized in the coming months, the next one will take place on June 4th.
