On Sunday, July 12th, Germany will host the Dutch Women's National Team on the first international European event of 2020.

After being held at home for months, teams all over Europe are going back to the softball fields. The first European international event of the season will see Germany and Netherlands as the two protagonists. Netherlands Women's National Team will travel to Cologne to face Germany National Team in a double-header on Wesseling Vermins facility. The first game is scheduled for 1 PM, and the second one for 3 PM.

2020 would have been the year for recouping the losses for the Dutch, after a disappointing second place in both the Women's European Championship and the WBSC Softball Europe/Africa Olympic Qualifier. The new head coach Ferenc Jongejan had the goal to take the European trophy back to the Netherlands, but, because of the COVID-19 pandemic, the WECh is postponed to 2021.

The fifteen players representing the Netherlands are:
Pitchers
Margot van Eijl, Marjolein Merkx, Rebecca Soumeru, and Eva Voortman;

Catchers
Brenda Beers, and Laura Wissink

Infielders
Lizzie Clarijs, Shakeena Croes, Maxime van Dalen, Suka van Gurp, Marielle Vleugels, and Britt Vonk

Outfielders
