Yesterday, June 13th, softball fans across Europe and other parts of the world were – for the fifth consecutive year – celebrating World Softball Day, which for 2009 has been themed as BackSoftball Day in support of the International Softball Federation’s campaign to get the sport reinstated on the Olympic Programme.

Since the playing schedules were published most of them have been amended. Some have only changed its format or the names of the appointed officials but others have changed some of the games.

A schedule of 40 games over eight days was released by the International Softball Federation today for the Easton Foundation Youth Softball World Cup.

Fourteen members of the ESF’s Technical Commission met in London during the weekend of May 29-31.
